The Feathers Hotel, Ludlow, is probably the town’s best known and most photographed building. Built in 1619, the hotel’s elaborate Tudor half-timbered frontage makes it a huge draw for visitors.
Closed in August 2018, the hotel has since been acquired by Crest Hotels and is undergoing a £500k refurbishment – before reopening fully in autumn 2019.
It’s great to see part of the hotel already open again – the tea room opened on 24 May 2019 as part of the first phase of development – as it’s such an integral part of the town’s heritage and tourist economy.
Whilst the Feathers is a very familiar face, I thought I would take a closer look at some of the less familiar faces on that very familiar frontage!
