About Llanberis
The small Gwynedd town of ç sits on the banks of Llyn Padarn and at the foot of Yr Ywdffa (Mount Snowdon) – the highest mountain in Wales.
Llanberis is also home to the Snowdon Mountain Railway (who’s trains run – weather permitting – to the summit of Yr Wydffa), the National Slate Museum (currently closed for refurbishment), the Llanberis Lake Railway and is close to the Dinorwic slate quarry – located between Dinorwic and Llnaberis.
These images were taken on 27th and 28th June 2025 (when the weather was too windy for the Snowdon Mountain Railway trains to reach the unit of Yr Wydffa.
