Anxious Journeys is a series of travel or journey based photography projects influenced by the Metaphysical art of the Italian painter Giorgio de Chirico (1888-1978).
These pictures were taken on a trip to Eilean Arainn – the Isle of Arran – in 2018.
Machrie Moor
Machrie Moor Standing Stones, Arran, Scotland.
This rich archaeological landscape includes stone circles, standing stones, burial cairns and cists, as well as hut circles and an extensive field system, all dating to between 3500 and 1500 BC. From: Historic Environment Scotland
Machrie Moor Stone Circles is the collective name for six stone circles visible at the abandoned Moss Farm, Machrie Moor, near the settlement of Machrie on the Isle of Arran, Scotland.
