Zambia: South Luangwa National Park

South Luangwa National Park

From Livingston we fkew north east to Mfuwe Game Lodge in the South Luangwa National Park.

The park, in eastern Zambia, covers an area of around 9000 km2 of the Luangwa Valley floor and has one of the largest concentrations of wildlife in Southern Africa.

Very few places in Africa can offer the unique combination of South Luangwa National Park’s open, grassy plains and mature, mesmerizing woodlands, crowned with the pristine, impressive Luangwa River. This area’s reputation for abundant wildlife and unspoiled vegetation is well earned, so whether driving around or walking through, the intense beauty calls to you from every corner… South Luangwa National Park website

Wildlife in the park includes, hippopotamus, Zebra and antelope.

A number of images have been ‘sharpened’ using Topaz Sharpen AI due to an issue that developed with the 120-400mm lens during this project –  the issue that impacted 2014 D-Day 70 pictures returned and the lens eventually failed on this trip.*
