About Sun And Fire
‘Sun and Fire – Life After Death at The Dawn of History’ is an exhibition at Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery about life in Shropshire between 4500 and 2000 years ago.
The exhibition is based on artefacts found in the Shropshire landscape, including the Shropshire sun pendant – ‘one of the most important pieces of metal work from this time discovered in Britain’.

(All images have been made with a vintage 58mm Helios 44-2 f2 lens – coincidentally, first released around the year I was born – they were all shot ‘wide open’ at an aperture of f2 and, unusually for me, in colour)
