Bodnant Hall and Gardens
Bodnant Hall and Gardens are a little to the north of Dolgarog and across the River Conwy.
The hall was built around 1792 with later Victorian additions and the garden layout (as seen today) was begun in 1875. The garden is split into two parts; the upper Terrace Gardens and lawns and the lower Dell.
The estate was bought by Henry Davis Pochin in 1874 and, on his death, passed to his daughter Laura. Laura was married to barrister Charles McLaren MP who, in 1911, would take the title Lord Aberconway.
The extensive gardens were accepted by to the Nation Trust in 1949.
