Abandoned Hafna Lead Mine
A few miles west of Llarwst are the the old mill buildings of Hafna Lead Mine and, according to the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales:
Hafna Mine has the most extensive and best preserved remains of any of the mines on the Gwydyr estate
The mine operated between the 1890s and 1915 and like many of the Gwydir mines it struggled for profitability.
