Positano
This once quiet fishing village was launched on its journey to becoming a major tourist destination in 1953, when the author John Steinbeck wrote an essay about his visit in Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
“Positano bites deep… It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone”
No doubt this writing helped to begin building the town’s reputation and visitors numbers have increased steadily since that time – making the picturesque town into what it is today, ‘an iconic destination to truly experience the spirit of the Amalfi Coast’…
