thresholds was originally a micro-project based on a short stay in the small Welsh seaside town of Tenby in October 2020 – between Covid-19 lockdowns. These images were taken in October 2021 – and the work is based on poems by the Tenby poet Alison J Bielski.

Narberth

Narberth is a town in Pembrokeshire about 13 mikes from Tenby.

It was founded around a Welsh court and later became a Norman stronghold. The town plays a important role in the Mabinogion as the palace of Pwyll, Prince of Dyfed, and is featured in the first and third branches of the Mabinogi.
